Autumn Wilt by oddlogic

My beat crush on oddlogic is well documented, so i won’t rehash my crush right here or right now.  As far as i’m concerned, he’s one of the best in the game today.  Period.  End of sentence.  ‘Nuff said.

Now the head honcho behind Outlier Recordings is back with his latest, Autumn Wilt, a self-described “collection of Autumnal night music, for the most part.”  Of particular interest is the 19-year-old’s obvious growth as an artist here.  Whereas i’ve come to love his output for the crisp edges and taut beats, here oddlogic takes a turn towards the more serene.  i hate to say it, particularly because his press flak used the same term, but there really is something organic about this new direction, with a greater utilization of a softer palette of sounds.  And no surprise here, but me likey.
